Environmental awareness is a philosophy that marks the way we think, act and consume; it means being aware that all actions have an environmental impact and choosing those that minimize it.
January 26 World day of environmental education
This ephemeris originates in 1975 as part of the International Seminar on Environmental Education, a meeting in which the Belgrade Charter was drawn up. This document claims the importance of the environmental perspective in educational action and establishes that environmental education must create awareness, provide knowledge, develop attitudes and skills, the ability to evaluate, and encourage participation and meaning of responsibility Subsequently, new commitments have been agreed on a global scale, which are more comprehensive and of a more urgent nature.
It is one of the oldest and most established appointments in the environmental calendar. However, it remains necessary to remember the importance of protecting and conserving the environment.
